Philip Köster got injured during an Aerial landing in Western Australia. It was one of his last sessions in Australia, before travelling back to Europe. He has a torn cruciate ligament and a meniscus injury. Köster will undergo surgery in Hamburg very soon.
Philip Köster: “I can’t believe it. My preparation in Australia was perfect and I felt top fit. And then, this happened during my final training session. My season is over but I’m glad to receive the best possible treatment by Professor Frosch and his team. Now I focus on returning as soon as possible.“

Be strong Philip!! Just to give you some good news, you can recover well from this kind of surgery, keep the focus and you ll come back stronger to get that title back!!
What a shame ! I was expecting Philip to overcome his Fernandezphobia wit a bang at Klitmoller ! Wish him a real speedy recovery. The wave tour is not the same without him.
