After a windy winter season Hugo de Sousa, Loick Spicher and his girlfriend Jazzy started their first Europe trip in April. On their way to the first PWA Freestyle World Cup in Austria they stopped at Lake Garda in Italy where they met Dieter van der Eyken and where they scored some nice morning sessions at Malcesine. Their next stop was Lake Neusiedl, where the first PWA Freestyle World Cup took place. The conditions, especially on the first day were epic with winds gusting up to 40 knots. Hugo finished in 13th and Loick edited a short clip with action from Lake Garda and Lake Neusiedl.
Hugo de Sousa: “The first day we had really good wind and good conditions, but it was very, very cold. Before the event I was in Venezuela for training and it was hard to switch to the cold. I also was training most of the time with 4,4 or 4,8 or 5,2, but here I used my 4,0, which I do not use so much. I am happy with my 13th place and I can see my improvement compared to last year.”
