Australian Felix Spencer spent his summer on the Canary Islands for the first time. His plan was to get used to the conditions and get some more experience in the extreme high wind conditions. We often saw him on the water and he definitely was super motivated . In Tenerife he got a spot in the trials for the PWA wave event for the first time in his career. We are pretty sure that Felix will return to the Canaries next summer and give it all in the 40 knots+ conditions.

Felix Spencer about his time in the Canaries: “Spending my winter in the Canaries this year was a really fun experience: I sailed most days and got to escape the Australian winter. It was a good experience sailing two completely different spots (Pozo & Cabezo) as I feel like my onshore sailing has improved a lot! Competition wise unfortunately I didn’t get a spot in the Pozo trials, which was a bit disappointing. For the Tenerife event though I did and missed out on making it through to the main event by one place. I was still super happy with how I sailed in my heats though and hopefully can make it into the main events next year.”
