Day 4 at the Cold Hawaii PWA Youth Windsurf Wave World Cup saw a Super Session with the youth riders and some pros competing in 4 teams in onshore conditions in 20 to 30 knots of wind.

The conditions were on but dropped a bit during the session. The youth riders competed in teams with pro captains Arthur Arutkin, Mads Bjornaa, Marc Pare & Victor Fernandez, who coached their teams in the super session. It was a good show & competition practice. And competing in teams takes away the pressure and gives an extra boost of motivation.

PWA: “Only one sailor from each team was allowed on the water at a time and they would then need to land their best jump and link together their best wave as quick as possible – making sure to claim the move/wave by raising their arm to indicate that the judges should just that manoeuvre. Once complete the sailor must then return to the beach and tag their next team mate. As an added incentive to land all their moves as quick as possible, the fastest team would be awarded an extra 10 points! Unfortunately, with the wind being bang onshore that made the conditions quite difficult, but there was still plenty of excellent action with Fernandez and Pare both landing double forwards, whilst Fernandez also spun through a stylish Taka.”

Team 3 won: Mads Bjornaa, Tobias Bjornaa, Lennart Neubauer, Nadia Joblonski, Henri Kolberg, Luis Igner, Leon Richter, Malte Rahbeck Oegelund, Leon Maethner
