Maui based US wave windsurfing pro Levi Siver released a cool clip with images from the American Windsurfing Tour event in Punta San Carlos, Baja from a few weeks ago. Levi finished the event on the second place behind Camille Juban. If you have missed the highlight clip from the event you definitely should watch it. It shows great wave riding in slow motion: > Highlight clip AWT Baja Desert Showdown
Levi Siver in Baja California during summer 2013
We have contacted Kevin Pritchard, who was filming most of the footage and he told me that the yellowish footage was filmed in 60fps and not in 24 which the other stuff is filmed at. He said, that it is not sped up, it is just the look of using 60p at 24fps.
This explains the “strange” look, because our eye is not used to 60p at 24fps.
if you cut one time a video you will see most aktion is slow, special with this slow wave… so the next idear is to put the speed up… even 10% more looks like charly chaplin…
doesn’t look accelerated to me
Long time no see Levi one of the best… but this is a shit… accelerated motion in every Windsurfvideo let me toss…
Don’t think it is accelerated.
That’s the cool thing about Levi. It always looks accelerated, but it’s not. Although I do agree, lately I’ve been seein a LOT of accelerated footage, and that’s ridiculous to me too. But I seriously doubt this is the case!
Hmm…Now that I’ve seen it again, maybe it actually is. Weird.
I will try to find it out.

Perfection itself. Long time no see from Levi.
