Congrats to Antoine Martin for winning the Aloha Classic 2023 and to Sarah-Quita Offringa for winning the event and her third Wave World Title. The battle for the Men’s Wave World Title was exciting until the end of the season. Ricardo Campello traveled to Maui as the leader, but lost the title at the last event to Marcilio Browne. Congrats to Marcilio Browne for winning his third Wave World Title.

Men double elimination

With the start of the men double elimination the title race in the men’s category was on again on the final day of the 13 day long event period. Current overall leader Ricardo Campello and third ranked Marc Paré managed to make it through the first heat of the day (round 4 of the double elimination), but both failed to make it through their following heat in round 5. The locals Kai Lenny and Morgan Noireaux sailed too strong and ended the catch-up race of Ricardo and Marc. The title dreams vanished within a few minutes. Congratulations to Ricardo Campello and Marc Paré for their strong performance. Let’s hope that Ricardo will give it another try in the next season again. Marcilio Browne kept a cool head and won his heat against Camille Juban and defended his third position from the single elimination. Brawzinho not only made it on the podium, he also secured his 2023 IWT/PWA Wave World title. The final three heats of the double elimination couldn’t be completed as the conditions worsened. Antoine Martin therefore keeps his first place and wins the Maui Strong Aloha Classic.
