Unfortunately the 2024 Slalom World Cup in New Caledonia got cancelled due to the current unrest.
The PWA writes the following:
Dear Friends
We are sure that many of you will have seen the sad scenes in the news from New Caledonia, where rioting and civil unrest have taken hold in Noumea. At this time, and in consultation with our partners in the islands, the decision has been taken to cancel the planned 2024 Slalom World Cup there due to the uncertainty created by the current unrest, which has created an environment in which securing the event for 2024 would be impossible. We know this will be a blow to many of you who were looking forward to the event which always delivers such excellent competition, in an incredible and picturesque location.
Our thoughts are with our friends and everyone on the islands for whom we wish for a speedy and peaceful resolution to the situation.
