Mastering the tack on a longboard (with and without daggerboard) is essential for the tack on shorter boards.

My biggest problem with the fast tack (planing) on a small boards is to keep the balance when changing sides and looking backwards. An important tip for myself is to look in the direction of travel for as long as possible …. and not to stare at the sail.
Good points on the tack!! Thanks! We recommend to carve into the tack with a lot of speed what helps to gain stability when changing sides. Try to switch to the new side a bit earlier and keep the sail back with your clew while rotating with your feet around the mast. Not to stare at the sail or even pull the rigg towards to your upper body (to the chest or shoulders) helps a lot.
