Benoit Devinat (28) likes both disciplines: freestyle and wave sailing. And what’s the perfect place to enjoy flat water and wave conditions at the same time? It’s South Africa during the European winter. Benoit wasn’t the only French rider, who spent a part of the winter in the southern hemisphere. Thanks to the pros Adrien Bosson or Nico Akgazciyan he got some great video footage and released following clip. Benoit was a former rider for Avanti, but joined the French national NeilPryde team last August 2015. The French ricer – he lives on Oléron island at the west coast of France – stopped his racing career at the age of 22 – and has put the focus on waves and freestyle for more than 6 years.
