Winter storm “Christian” battered the shores of Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands with gusts up to 140km/h. The German sailor Fabian Weber drove to Wijk aan Zee (Holland) for a stormy windsurfing session and brought his smallest windsurfing equipment and photographer Sebastian Schöffel, who produced a nice little film from this session in Holland.

The storm was overlapping with the PWA event in Maui. Red Bull would have needed to fly the riders in from Maui, which would actually have been possible, as there was no competition during the big storm. But it definitely would have been very stressful for the riders, as they would have needed to get their “Storm Chase Kit”, which they did not bring to Maui. It is the final PWA event of the year and for some riders it is a VERY important event with the chance to win a Worldtitle for Traversa, Browne and Jamaer. Red Bull did… Read more »
