Victor Fernandez wins the 2016 Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival in front of Philip Köster, Jaeger Stone and Alex Mussolini. We decided to film the finals from the side but like this you get the full load of spray, wind and dust. So, the videos might be a bit shaky;-)
As you can see in the points below it was a very close heat and Victor won by 0,25 points difference.

Yeah, Victor is the king. He rips both tacks in onshore or dtl. Best all round wave sailor there is – although Brawzi and Swifty are pretty handy. If the tour weren’t so port tack jump biased he’d probably have another championship or two.
iF Koster wasn’t happy with the sail ,i am pretty sure he has a lot of options with others companies .

David, no, apparently PWA is not looking for sponsors. But in my opinion they are suppossed to do it. If not what is the value added by PWA if the local organisors are raising all the funds from the sponsors and when everything is set up PWA is putting their “sticker” on. For me this kind of association is not needed to run a wave worldtour. What we need is a professional marketing agency that is able “sell” wave windsurfing via all modern communication channel and attract a sponsor. Things of value typically require money/investment. If a business focuses on cost control, it ends up being a business offering low value (since providing value to customers was not the focus). Sorry for the open door, but it happens every day nevertheless. Here is another angle, is it worth it to spend say 30% more costs to elongate the event if that means the advertisement value goes up by an equal amount (guessing here that advertising is the main income for the event) because the video content becomes so much more spectacular?
