Steven van Broeckhoven, currently ranked 1st on the PWA Freestyle World Tour, broke the 5th metatarsal of his left foot during a Air Kabikuchi landing (on his “bad” side) in big chop at Dahab in Egypt. He is already back in Belgium and had to undergo surgery. A surgery is essential for this injury as this part of the foot is not well supplied with blood and therefore heals very slow. Steven: “I will be in plaster until 30th of June, then they will check and if it is good I get a walking boot for 4weeks.” Unfortunately Steven will miss the upcoming PWA Freestyle event at Fuerteventura. We wish a speedy recovery!!!!!
