Sarah- Quita Offringa won the women’s single elimination at the 2018 PWA Fuerteventura World Cup in front of Maaike Huvermann and Oda Johanne. It was howling and although Sarah-Quita was on her 4.2m sail (Gollito Estredo used 4.0m) she still showed great moves. She was really powered up but managed to land her first Spock into Culo in competition.
Sarah-Quita Offringa: “I am very happy with the first place. It was a very hard day and the wind kept on picking up. By the time I sailed the final against Maaike Huvermann I was completely maxed out on my 4.2. The heat before the final I didn’t sail that well but I managed to calm down and sail pretty good. I landed a Spock into Culo, which is the first time for me in competition. Honestly, just to sail against Maaike is really nice, because I know I have to do my best. I am really happy I made it to the final and I am looking forward to more this week.”

Again and again the one and only Sarah Q. shows that her level is like from another planet compared to the rest of the women. Its a deplorable thing watching those women not able ducking the sail, let alone a single move, even basic (and they claim to be pros). Shame… A loss of precious time that could be utilized for the men’s competition-this is what women’s freestyle is all about right now. I am aware of the vocal response but I don’t care.We have eyes and we can see.
Hey Splash!
I do appreciate your first comment. Thank you.
The women I am competing with are amazing.
You’d really have to experience the spot before making the other comments though I think…
This was the windiest I’ve ever sailed it. What you see on the screen is an understatement of how hard it is
