On the fifth day of the PWA Grand Slam in Vietnam the discipline got changed into Slalom. 15 women and 45 men came to Vietnam to compete in the first ever PWA Slalom event in Mui Ne. Compared to the days before, during the freestyle competition, the wind was lighter and much more unstable.

Albeau and Maynard at the first mark

The riders were on their biggest boards and sailsizes in between 8,5 to 9,7m2. The winnersfinal of the women was cancelled once due to big holes on the course, but in the second attempt the everybody was planing and the French sailor Alice Aruktin won.
