The final day at the PWA Gran Canaria 2022 was a real Pozo Izquierdo summer day. It was windy and with the pushing tide the wind swell created some proper ramps. 12 ladies and 17 men heats got completed. Daida Ruano Moreno fought back and won the final and the super final against her twin sister Iballa. Again it was Daida, the 18-time World Champion, who won at her home spot. She also landed a clean frontside wave 360 in the heat against Sarah-Quita Offringa and earned 8,25 points for that wave ride. That was impressive!!

In the men’s competition former PWA Wave World Champion and Freestyle World Champion Marcilio Browne had an incredible comeback in the double elimination. The Brazilian won 6 heats in a row, but lost to the leader from the single elimination Philip Köster, who again showed incredible skills landing a Table Top into Double Forward and a Push Loop Forward. Marcilio now leads the overall rankings and has one hand on his next World title.

Daida Ruano Moreno and Victor Fernandez won the Red Bull Rocket competition with the highest measured landed moves in the competition.

The 3-time Wave World Champion landed a huge 8.9 meter stalled forward in Heat 50 during the double elimination.
