The epic final of the tenth round of Slalom at the 2009 Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam.

A four mark downwinder directly out on the open ocean. The wind picked up to 25 to 30 knots on the inside and got a force around 40 to 45 knots on the outside.
Sotavento went off like not many times before. In two super exciting heats the places for the finals were fought out. In the first round Matt Pearch made it in first, followed by Micah Buzianis, Kevin Pritchard and Björn Dunkerbeck. In the second run Finian Maynard took the lead from the beginning on, followed by Peter Volwater. But both crashed on the outside mark and 6 sailors passed them. Antoine Albeau, who crashed at the first mark, fought back and finished in 2nd position. An incredible comeback!!! On his heels were Cyril Moussilmani, Van der Steen, Menegatti and Diethelm.
Later on we saw two incredible rounds, the loosers and the winners final. Peter Volwater could win the loosers final in 45 knots, in front of Arnon Dagan and Finian Maynard.
In the winners final Antoine Albeau had a hard fight with Josh Angulo, but made it in the end and finished his incredible run with a massive jump and a big wipe out. The crowd on the beach was screaming. In second came Josh Angulo and in third, after a very hard fight with Björn Dunkerbeck, Cyril Moussilmani.
