We asked Patrik Diethelm and Karin Jaggi about the actual situation and the progress of “Patrik Diethelm boards”. They announced their new brand during the PWA World Cup on Sylt. At the moment they seem to be pretty busy with selling, producing new shapes, finding partners and builing up a new team.
Karin Jaggi gave us the following statement:
“It’s all happening – unfortunately for now still a bit behind the scenes. No start-up is easy but the challenge is great fun! So far we have the formula board and three slalom boards ready to sell (all of them worldwide registered for national and international racing). First products were shipped to the USA and the demand lead to the decision to quickly add three wave and two freestyle boards already coming out in spring. The rest of the boards Patrik makes and develops over wintertime and the first sample boards of the full range will be available by August/September. The website will be launched in January – once we finally have some action pictures. And some contact details for national distributors. That is probably our biggest challenge. The partnership decision is very crucial for the success of our adventure so we want to take the time to set it up right from the beginning. Therefore for the moment any inquiries are best made directly through the link on our website.
We are also in the process of setting up a team. Naturally in the first year our possibilities are quite limited but we’re doing our best to help where we can.”
