Leon Jamaer had an excellent last season and started great into the new season, with a trip to the island of Sal. He was not too lucky with the wind, but scored one great session on the final day of his stay. Watch Leon’s clip about his trip.

“I  spent two weeks on Sal without scoring a single decent windsurf session. For the day I had to leave a big swell was forecasted so we got to the beach before sunrise. The swell wasn’ t that clean yet and was hitting mostly the outside point and the shorebreak without forming a proper shoulder. It took a couple of hours until the wind filled in a bit. I didn’t think I had good chances to make it through the shorebreak, but somehow made it to the outside. What followed was a bit more than an hour Ponta Preta for only couple of surfers and me. I only could catch a handful of waves before I had to leave the water. Directly afterwards I got all my gear in a taxi and headed to the airport. A few waves that made my day and the trip on the final day!” Leon Jamaer.
