Yesterday afternoon we used the lay day of the Fuerte Wave Classic to drive around at the North Shore and check out the waves. At Majanicho Yannick Anton was out riding the north-western swell in very light wind. The other riders like Thomas Traversa, Jonas Ceballos, JB Caste, Alex Mussolini, etc. preferred to stay on the beach. They surfed later at Hierro. We then drove to Puertito and Cotillo, where the swell already has increased compared to the last days. We already could see, how difficult the entrance over the big rocks can be. Massive white water on the inside and a lot of different currents. Indeed a scary spot, which does not allow any fault. Just around the corner we got a nice view on the bay of Cotillo, where the big swell exploded in close out breaking waves.
