Benoit Devinet and his girlfriend Chloé had a fantastic trip to Colombia this winter. The freestyle windsurfing conditions were excellent and in between the windsurfing sessions they discovered discovered Colombia’s nature. Benoit lands his freestyle moves with a lot of style and flow!! Great to watch!!
Benoit Devinet: “After 6 trips to South Africa in a row I wanted to travel with my girlfriend Chloé to an unknown destination. We decided to travel to Colombia for the month of February 2019. The wind statistics are perfect for this month. The spots are rather freestyle oriented, but there are also good jumping spots on starboard tack. The wind is strong enough to ride on 4.2m in warm water conditions. I was often alone on the water because this destination is less known, but the conditions are really nice. We were surprised by the hospitality of the Colombians and the beauty of the landscapes. We are looking forward to return. We had a great trip and Chloe captured the images…”
Benoit windsurfed in Puerto Velero, Santa Véronica and Cabo de la Vela. We visited Puerto Colombia, Palenqué, Guajira, Piunta Guallinas, Minca and Barranquilla.
