Andy McKinney sailed in  stormy conditions on Saturday, January 25th at Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. It’s an extremely remote spot located on the outside corner on the long thin barrier islands that make up the Outer Banks. Once a year the AWT runs an event at this are (2014 September, 15th -20th).
“With winds gusting up towards 40 knots. Maxed out 3.6m, I took a short sesh and just kept it simple out there. It went pretty ballistic out here on Cape Hatteras.” Andy McKinney
Andy parked his truck at the beach, the sand was flying, the spray on top of the waves, too. He was alone in the rough environment, but had his Soloshot with him, which filmed him from the safety of the truck. Definitely a great tool for everyone, who is alone at the spot and wants to capture some future. For a good reason the high tech tool got the Gold ISPO Award at the this year’s 2014 ISPO trade show. It was not a long session in the end, but a tough one. Just an in and out, a crash, a swim and the proved that the Soloshot tool works quite ok, even on stormy grey in grey days.
Hi Bippe,
we thought it’s interesting to show that it’s possible to film yourself with the Solo Shot tool.
Cheers,
Chris
Put some effort into making clips. This was beyond garbage.
Hi bippe, You’re right. Truth be told, I didn’t put much effort into it. I didn’t know C7 was going to share it, but I’m pleased that they did. Raw clip for raw conditions. Next time the conditions are better and the action is better, I’ll try a little harder to make a nice clip. Just for you. 🙂
well. why bother to have a girlfriend nowadays 🙂
tough conditions to go alone though!
