Neilpryde international offered the Russian top freestyler Yegor Popretinskiy (Rus 11) a contract to make it into the top team. Neilpryde is one of the biggest players in the windsurfing industry and for sure secures Yegor a bright future. Congratulations Yegor, that you made such a step forward in your career! Yegor is now 24 years old, has finished his studies and will absolutely be focused on his windsurfing career. He now will be on the team with Jason Poloakow, Ricardo Campello, Robby Swift and many other big names. Check them out!

“I’m very very happy about it! This is unreal! Dream comes true! My goal for this year is to compete in all PWA and EFPT tour events 2011 and to reach the best results possible for me. I had already signed a contract  for new season with JP-Australia and I got some new side sponsors with Kontek and MadWave.” Yegor commented his upgrade.

Neilpryde: What are your plans for the next year?

Yegor: To compete in all PWA and EFPT tours 2011 and to reach the best results possible for me.


Neilpryde: When did you realize windsurfing would become your life?

Yegor: When I landed my first Front loop


Neilpryde: What something outside of windsurfing are you interested in?

Yegor: Skateboarding, hi-tech technology, travelling, music, video, photos


Neilpryde: What’s the best thing about your lifestyle/sport?

Yegor: Travelling the World


Neilpryde: What does it mean to you to be a TeamPryde rider?

Yegor: My dreams come true and it is a big honor to be in the main team of the best windsurfing sail company in the world.


Neilpryde: What do you want more than anything?

Yegor: To ride the biggest waves and to do the sickest tricks.


Neilpryde: Describe your best water experience.

Yegor: My really bad crash in front of the crowds and judges doing spock during Russian freestyle competitions in Anapa, Black Sea. I could have died because I’d crashed into the old iron pier at full speed and exactly between two rusty pins. I was very lucky!


Neilpryde: Who or what inspires you?

Yegor: My family, Josh Stone, Jason Polakow, Ricardo Campello, Tonky Frans, Bruce Lee, Rodney Mullen, Sean White, Kelly Slater.
