On December 1st 2024 Antoine Albeau and a hardcore group of windsurfing speed fanatics took to the Luderitz channel to attempt to beat Antoine’s 2015 World Record of 53,27 knots. And it was himself, only he could beat himself. Antoine had several runs over 53 knots and in the end the French waterman managed to beat his own record by a good margin, setting a new windsurinf speed record of 53,49 knots (99,06km/h).
