Ricardo Campello and Kai Lenny left Maui with the plan to ride the super clean waves of Backyards. The forecasted swell and wind arrived and it was totally worth to travel to the surfer’s paradise. The waves at Oahu’s North Shore are fast and hollow. And they are breaking over shallow reefs. The boys don’t care, attack the lips and land wild airs off the lip!!! Dreams come true. For years I have seen videos of my fellow windsurfing friends windsurfing at Backyards. I received a last minute call from Kai Lenny to get on a plane to score some of the best waves I have ridden. It reminds me a lot of Cabo Verde. Although the locals said that swell wasn’t even the best direction I had a lot of fun. I am crazy to come back again.
