Antoine Albert is not only an amazing freestyler but also a great wave rider. The New Caledonian windsurfer decided to travel to South Africa for the first time and it was totally worth it.
Antoine: “Cape Town is a sick place to train in freestyle and wave as you have an incredible diversity of conditions. From side-on to side-off in por tack and starboard tack on-shore in Muizenberg. In general the spots are very technical as there are mainly beach breaks and the waves are not easy to read. For freestyle windsurfing there are the choppys lakes and the sea with all kind of winds. And you can also go surfing or hiking when there is no wind or just discover the landscape. There is always something to do and that’s what I really love.”
