End of February 2011 Thomas Traversa was invited by Maneuverline to visit Japan to promote his equipment sponsors Tabou and Gaastra. Just after his visit, on the 11th of March Japan´s biggest earthquake ever occurred near the northeastern coast of Japan and has caused extensive and severe damage in Northeastern Japan, leaving thousands of people confirmed dead, injured or missing, and millions more affected by the nuclear incident. Sophie Regerbis, Thomas´s girlfriend, who is responsible for this nice video, wrote: “We had an incredible time with the local windsurfing community and besides of two days of good windsurfing in Omaezaki, we tried to see and experience as much as we could from this beautiful country.”
