Waterman Kai Lenny presented the latest Oxbow Movie “Walls of Perception” in the party tent at the Fuerteventura PWA Worldcup 2011
Windsurfing and surfing enthiusiasts, also most of the top freestylers, showed up at 22.00 to watch the latest movie of Oxbow. Superstar Kai Lenny extra travelled from Tenerife, where he took part in the last PWA wave event, to Fuerteventura to present the latest Oxbow Movie, called “Walls of Perception”.
After the big success of Oxbowx´s “Watermen experience” film in 2010 the successor “Walls of Perception” followed this year. The movie contains a lot of action from Maui with an incredible Jaws part featuring Kai Lenny and Jason Polakow. For Kai Lenny it was the first premiere show: “Yeah, it´s great to be here. It´s my first time on the island of Fuerteventura, which is well known for surfing and windsurfing. And honestly I must say, it was definitely worth to come over here for my first premiere on this sick movie.”
The movie shows a lot of surfing and windsurfing action, even tow-in in worldclass breaks. You will see endless tube rides, hard crashes and unforgettable moments travelling the oceans. Following windsurfers are in: Jason Polakow, Kai Lenny, Keith Teboul, Manu Bouvet, Levi Siver. The sufers are shortboarder Matt Meola and longboarders Antoine Delpero and Duane DeSoto. Ian Alldredge performs strapless on the kiteboard.
The movie is mixed up with great music and it´s definitely worth to watch!! The movie will be available in November for free download. We´ll keep you updated.
Whats the name of the song at 31.00 that goes i go hard harder than anybody that came through better let the animal inside the cage loose
i can’t disagree more..Kai is not a windsurfer only, he’s a waterman who kites, windsurfs, SUPS and surfs. he also happens to be twice World SUP Champion, and he never professed to be a ‘superstar’. Unfortunately most of the world doesn’t care for windsurfing nowadays, so if you’re not good at self marketing, or your sponsors aren’t, your career probably won’t be a financially-succesful one. I don’t think it’s wrong for someone like Kai to take advantage of his ‘cute’ face and sponsorship deals..you’d probably do exactly the same thing if you were in his shoes..Kai is an all-rounder..he’s ripping… Read more »
i dont think is odd,he lives in maui,he already has money before the sponsors,he doesnt need to do the tour,he just does whatever he feels like doing.im sure if he tells his dad he wants to move to pozo to become as good as the pozo kids he would get his own house the next day.but of course he likes maui more.
so if you want to make money doing the tour you have to beat phillip koster or gollito.
not sure if the goal should be to earn money only? let this teenagers have fun, sail and enjoy. if you see the “superstar” he is not marketing himself. it is naish, redbull and oxbow using him because he has a little cute face. but if you see his results in pozo, medano then the whole world is sailing better then him. he is just a little toy from 3 big brands and all the rest of the guys have just 5 percent of the money on the account but they have fun – and can sail.
I imagine such a show to be slightly odd for all the guys at fuerte that easily beat the “superstar” in the competitions. Also in the footage it becomes apparent that the “superstar” makes a lot of things right in the self-marketing which unfortunately much stronger sailors did not.
Please, all the middle-age guys, let the kid inspire you in earning money so that we can go on enjoying all your crazy action!
