Ricardo Campello finally won his first PWA wave event, the 2014 PWA Grand Slam La Torche. He has been on the PWA wave tour for almost 10 years, was close to win events, but never managed to win an event in the end. In La Torche everything came together for him and he claimed his first event victory. On his way to victory Ricardo won 5 heats in the single elimination beating Nicolas Akgazciyan, Alessio Stillrich, Antoine Martin, Robby Swift and Thomas Traversa.

We asked Robby Swift, Marcilio Browne, Thomas Traversa, Sarah-Quita Offringa and PWA head judge Duncan Coombs to give us a statement about Ricardo’s victory.
