Daida Ruano Moreno joins Goya Windsurfing

Daida Ruano Moreno, who has won 18 world titles in windsurfing, is well known as the Queen of Pozo. She fought for equal price money in women’s professional windsurfing and travelled the world for more than a decade. Daida got cancer, but luckily overcame it. Later in here career she again won at her home spot and as well gave birth to a son. Daida, the twin sister of Iballa Ruano Moreno, is a true fighter and still can keep up with the best female riders in modern wave windsurfing nowadays at the age of 48. Daida leaves Bruch Boards after three years of collaboration.

Danish wave rider Tobias Bjornaa leaves Duotone

The talented wave rider Tobias Bjornaa will not be on Duotone in the upcoming season. Tobias struggled with some injuries and we wish a strong recovery and comeback asap.

Mike Friedl leaves Goya Windsurfing/Quatro and joins Duotone

Mike Friedl, the masters world champion in 2024 and 2025, just announced, that he is not with Goya windsurfing anymore. A 15 year long journey with Goya windsurfing and Quatro comes to an end. From now on he will ride for Duotone.

Lucas Meldrum leaves Duotone and joins North Windsurfing / Quatro

The UK wave rider Lucas Meldrum finally announced his new partners and he stated as following.

“The beginning of a new chapter in the search of epic waves,” writes a super excited Adam Warchol on his Instagram account about his change from Goya to Patrik Windsurf. 

Amado Vrieswijk joins North Windsurfing

Bonaire local Amado Vrieswijk will not longer ride for Point-7. He joined North Windsurfing.

North posted: “We are proud to announce that Amado Vrieswijk is joining the North Windsurfing team! We’re thrilled to welcome this multi-talented athlete to our team. The mission is on. Go Beyond.”

 

Pierre Mortefon joins North Windsurfing

French top racer Pierre Mortefon, the current Slalom X-World Champion and Foil Slalom Vice Champion 2025,  joins North Windsurfing for 2026.

Alessio Stillrich on Patrik

Gran Canaria local Alessio Stillrich joined after one season on Bruch the Australian based brand Patrik. Alessio already was on the new gear in the the Margaret Wave Classic.

Alessio stated: “Loving life here in west OZ!!! So happy to be part of my new team Patrik Windsurf! Everything is feeling amazing and I’m feeling so integrated straight away. Thanks for everything.

 

Jules Denel joins Goya Windsurfing

The French wave rider Jules Denel, who was on GA, just announced that he joined Goya Windsurfing in 2026. 

 

Matteo Iachino leaves SEVERNE Windsurfing and joins Neil Pryde

Eight years. Two PWA World Championships. One hell of a run.

SEVERNE announced that Matteo Iachino and SEVERNE are parting ways as both pursue new directions for 2026.

Matteo joined team SEVERNE in 2018; then went on to claim countless event victories across foil and fin racing, two PWA world titles, an ISWC speed title, and stacked up serious achievements that constantly pushed our race development program to new heights. SEVERNE wishes Matteo every success in his next chapter. It’s been a proper ride mate.

“It has been a pleasure sharing these 8 years together with Severne. We won a lot together and I learnt a lot in and out of the water. I’d like to say thanks to Ben and the whole team for the great time and I wish you the best for the future!” Matteo Iachino says.

Matteo rides Neil Pryde from now on.

 

Daniele Benedetti joins Challenger and We One

The former Vice Foil Slalom World Champion from Italy returns after one season on Duotone to the Italian sailbrand Challenger and joins the board brand We One.

 

Lisa Kloster joins Starboard

German freestyle and wave windsurfer joins Starboard in 2026. The 26 year old German globetrotter made her first PWA freestyle podium in Fuerteventura already riding a Starboard. Now he is part of the international team.

“I’m super stoked to join the Starboard team. In summer 2025 I only had a few days to adapt to the Ignite before the PWA stop on Fuerte and straightaway I landed on my first podium with it! That already says a lot. The board gives me so much speed and control, whether it’s flat water or heavy chop. Riding switch, accelerating, popping for big moves just feels easier. I’m really proud to ride for one of the best brands in the sport and be part of such a strong team.” Lisa Kloster upon joining the Starboard Team
