Scotty McKercher (KA-181), the World Champ in waves in 2004, still rips big waves like a champ. The summer season is just around the corner and Scotty had some formidable waves at Margaret River, WA. He produced some spray and went for big sections. Scotty, who is much into SUP development , still has this unique wave riding style and reminds us all at the end of the video “Esea rider at margz” to Peter Volwater, who often went out at Margz, when it got big.

Addicted to this vid.. Scotty’s wave riding turns me on !! Love the bottom turns, love the cutbacks. Wow!!!
I can’t help watching this again and again. Late hits? Well this is late as it gets.. Maybe 4-5 riders from the current PWA fleet have the guts at all to hit that late. This is rad. I heard that this man has undergone hip joint replacement surgery…?? If so, hats low to Scotty and to the surgeon that has crafted him-miracles do happen from time to time !!.
So true! Big respect to this man! I think getting washed hard like at 1:40min helps loosening up your hips. 🙂
Super turns, time 1,27 is sick..?
This Aussie man can ride waves. Awesome textbook stuff. Music too. Can’t wait to slice some lipss.
