In the end of December 2013 the German sailor Frithjof Blaasch decided to travel by train from Kiel to the island of Sylt.

Frithjof Blaasch: “We did not use the car because it’s very expensive to cross the dyke from Niebüll to Sylt. We decided to go by train from Kiel to Sylt. It was a long ride (three hours/one way) but the journey by train is good value for money. In the end we had a great day on Sylt with offshore winds and some great waves. After the session we drunk a hot mulled wine and some beers in the train, that is another reason to go by train.”
