Gollito Estredo wins the Tow-In session on the second day of the PWA Worldcup on Sylt. Second came the 2011 PWA Freestyle Worldchampion Steven van Broeckhoven, third got Tonky Frans and in fourth Yegor Popretinskiy.

The second day at Sylt was another day with nice weather, but with absolutely no wind for competition. The organizer decided to run a tow-in freestyle session in the afternoon with 1000€ prizemoney. Most of the top 16 PWA freestylers participated in the first sportive highlight of the 2011 event on Sylt. And we must say the riders definitely impressed us and the big crowd, altough the sea was still choppy and due to the low tide the areas close to the beach were really shallow.

VIDEO DAY 2
The top sailors on the PWA freestyle tour along some special guests were seeded into four man heats and sent out onto the water to battle for the highest score to advance into the final. Just the winner of each heat made it into the finals. Also some unexpected names were on the list, like Ricardo Campello or Marcilio Browne. Escpecially Marcilio Browne surprised, but was a bit unlucky, because he did not advance into the final, although he got one of the highest scores with 27 of all pre-runs. But with a Gollito Estredo in the same heat, who just does one 30 point jump after the other, it is hard to advance.

There is an ok forecast for tomorrow and there is certainly potential to complete a round of slalom and the single elimination in the freestyle or the waves. The judges have opted for an early start, kicking off the day with the freestyle and women’s wave fleet skippers meeting at 6:45am with a first possible start to competition at 7:15am. The skippers meeting for the men’s wave fleet and the slalom fleet will kick off at 9am with a first possible start at 9:30am.
