July 25 th was the first day of the PWA World Cup in Fuerteventura. After the registration in the morning the first Slalom elimination got started at around 2 pm. The conditions in the first elimination were not the usual strong Fuerteventura conditions, but the wind picked up during the afternoon and the slalom sailors were using sails from 7.0m – 7.8m.

The first elimination was won be the French Pascal Toselli, who actually won his first slalom elimination ever at a PWA World Cup. He was leading from the start until the finish and Antoine Albeau, who was in second, had no chance to overtake the fast Frenchmen. We have filmed the final in full length and added a statement from Pascal and the commentary from Roberto Hofmann, who is the official event commentator.

The second elimination was won by Josh Angulo in front of Pierre Mortefon and Matteo Iachino.

Overall, after the first day the Italian Matteo Iachino is leading the overall ranking. We have filmed the 2nd winners final, as well and got a statement from Josh Angulo, which will go online soon, too. Stay tuned.
