The opening day of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sylt PWA World Cup was relatively calm with the competitors registering and preparing their equipment for the next 9 days of competition. A total of 104 competitors have registered for this year’s edition with 29 freestylers, 31 foil sailors (no slalom competition in Sylt this year), 12 women’s wave sailors and 32 men’s wave sailors.
The official opening ceremony was then held shortly before 4pm to conclude a relaxed opening day.
The forecast looks very promising, so action is guaranteed.
