Finest spring weather, clean waves and just enough wind were the perfect ingredients for a perfect session in the southern Finistére region for French wave rider Philippe Mesmeur. Philippe landed some great Aerials off the lip and Goiters on his 77 liter board and 4.5m sail. But take care, when you once should make it out there. Plage de Toulhars (nearby the city of Lorient) is only for experts!!

This place is situated in the south of Brittany! It usually is working with west northwest wind. It’s really rare to sail the spot with north-eastern wind and waves! And to be alone at this spot is clearly impossible. I was really lucky on that day! Karma.
This wave is one of the most powerful in Brittany. A lot of surfers are usually out there and it can have mast high size or a little bit more, what’s rare, too. Usually it’s a starboard tack spot. There is not a lot of water when you are riding in these conditions. Be careful with your mast and your feet. There are a few rocks in the water and the spot is limited by a stone wall.
