The NoveNove Aloha Classic 2016 will be remembered forever. It’s one of the most radical events we’ve ever seen in Maui and will be listed with the best wave riding events ever like Fiji or Cabo Verde. Day 6, November 5th saw awesome conditions. 30 to 35 knots of wind and double mast high waves breaking at Ho’okipa, Maui.

Jason Polakow: “We had one of the best days of the year, with strong wind and glassy conditions on the wave!”

The Aloha Classic has been existing since 32 years and 2016 is probably one of the best years. What definitely has changed is the fact that there is a huge amount of riders, who sail on a world class level now and can win heats. And it’s obvious, that the local riders dominate at their home turf. The live stream – including drone footage – with great commentary by Kai Katchadourian, Rob Funk and a lot of riders, organizers and local riders gives everyone the chance to follow the event.

Watch the video from day 6 with action from the double elimination of the men showing some great action.
