Nayra Alonso had a season with a lot of wave riding sessions: in Morocco, at her home spot in Vargas or at Ho’okipa. Just one ladies PWA wave competition – the event in Pozo Izquierdo – saw a result. The second event on Sylt had no suitable conditions. Nayra finished in 4th position and took the 4th in the overall ranking. But while watching the following clip we are sure Nayra could be on top, if there would be an event with real wave riding conditions. She already had won a PWA wave event, 2007 on Sylt.

Very nice video, indeed, her technique and style is excellent, I dont have much knowledge about proper waveriding, but for me it seems quite vertical, you might say!

better than most. A lot of videos here have turns placed far out on the shoulder of the wave. She placed all of her turns right in the good part of all her waves
