Norway has it all what windsurfers are looking for: a long coastline with waves at the open ocean and choppy to flat water conditions on lakes or inlets. Miriam Rasmussen lives in the northern European country and windsurfs at isolated spots in wild nature. The wind blows down the gentle hills formed by glaciers in the past. The background is surrounded by high mountains covered by snow, even during early autumn.

“Windsurfing the mountain lakes of Norway in autumn is something special  – the scenery really adds an extra dimension to the fun of windsurfing. It’s clean, it’s clear and it’s cold, some gusts even brought snow with them! For me this is still the ultimate windsurfing experience – alone on a freezing lake, near the face of one of Norways largest mountain massives – the Hallingskarvet. A great venue to break in my new Switchblades from Loft sails (e.n. Miriam left Challengersails and switched to Loft Sails recently)! I got a great first impression  and can’t wait to get on them more in the near future.” Miriam Rasmussen
