Marin David is a 24 year-old freestyle windsurfer from Saint Briac, North Brittany in the west of France. Last summer he and his friends travelled to Dakhla in the Western Sahara, where he scored 20 brilliant freestyle days out of 25. Marin told us: I’m not a professional windsurfer but I love freestyle a lot and I produced a little video about my summer trip to Dakhla. It’s wonderful there. Dakhla in three words: Sahara, wind and ocean. When there is low tide, you have a place called the “speed spot” where the wind blows with 30 knots or more sometimes and the water is flat, flat, flat. That’s wonderful not only for freestyle or freeride windsurfing, but for the eyes, too. “

Marin landed clean Spocks, Konos, Shakas but the most important is that he and his friends had loads of fun on the water. Marin, who is currently living in Paris, is in the second year of his master degreee and looking forward to make it to the water more often after he finished his studies.
