French wave rider Loick Lesauvage scored some quality sessions in the south of France when the Mistral was firing. Winter is prime Mistral season — the powerful wind funneling through the Rhône Valley can even generate rideable waves. When the conditions line up, Loick is straight on the water, throwing wild off-the-lip moves in challenging side-onshore conditions.
Loick’s style is truly impressive. Just watching his videos over the years has taught me a lot about wavesailing in onshore conditions… admittedly at a much lower level.
Thanks for that!
