From the 17th-26th July the world’s best freestylers and racers are in Sotavento for the 38th Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam. This year’s event will see three world titles decided: the Women’s Freestyle world title and both the Men’s and Women’s Slalom X world titles.

What has happened so far at the Fuerteventura Windsurf World Cup?
Lennart Neubauer wins the men’s freestyle elimination in front of Yentel Caers and Balz Müller. Yesterday, on the third day of the Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam, Sotavento delivered some of the best freestyle conditions imaginable. Strong winds and and swell combined to create the perfect playground for the world’s best freestyle windsurfers, allowing them to push the limits with spectacular moves throughout the day.
Today, on day 4, the Women’s Double Eliminations got completed. Sarah-Quita Offringa managed to come back and challenge Maaike Huvermann in a super final, an all deciding final. In the end Sarah-Quita Offringa could handle the 35knots, the waves and big chop better than Maaike Huvermann and won her 39th world title.
