Levi Siver (35) released episode 3 of his Through My Eyes series. He shows how epic the winter on Maui was. The El Nino season brought waves and extreme conditions and brought Levi out of his usual comfort zone and he was forced to go bigger and try new stuff. The outcome is an incredible video with breathtaking action at Ho’okipa and Peahi. Is that the most aggressive Levi Siver we have ever seen?
Levi Siver: “I started this winter with a desire to feel like a kid again with my passions. How can something still be fresh after decades of doing it? I learned that if your in love with something give it your all or don’t do it at all. Here’s my new segment from the scariest action packed winters I’ve ever seen. I would like thank my parents for showing me this amazing sport. My sponsors for having my back through the ups and downs. And Jesus for letting me come up from the worst hold down of my life.”

totally agree on the relentless swell this winter. NorCal had it’s fare share too. 😉 I can’t recall sailing anything much below logo high this winter. Last weekend just had to give my body a break after 6-7 days of none stop wind (5.5 down to 4.0 OP) and fat cruncher down at the W and massive bombs at Dport uppers.

I wish I could could pick Levi’s brain about fin configuration. He was on a single fin, tri, and quad set up in this video. How is he picking the set up? Based on wave, wind, riding style…
A lot of videos get posted these days. Levi actually makes me want to go windsurfing!
Levi is still the king of Hookipa – near flawless. I’d love to see more of him in port tack and even onshore jumping spots.
