A strong wind hit the east of Austria and Slovakia on September 30th. Gusts up to 45+knots suddenly arrived in the afternoon. Hungarian windsurfer Csik Bertalan and his friends arrived at the spot on time and enjoyed their jump & jibe session at Cilistov on the river Danube. The spot is located in Slovakia and sometimes works better than the neighboring well known Lake Neusiedl. Especially when the wind blows from westerly directions the spot gets good wind with proper ramps. At this part the Danube is quite wide and the scenery with the ships looks a bit like on the Columbia River Gorge. The spot even works well during the winter months, when many lakes are covered with ice.
