Watch some highlights from the 2025 Maui ProAm. The IWT/PWA event, the 4th 4 star World Cup event in the season, has been held at Ho’okipa beach in April, 14 – 18. The wind has been firing and waves have ben all over the place. 7 pro women, 24 pro men, 15 masters men and 6 juniors participated in the event.

Maui resident Marcilio Browne again has won the men’s category after his victory in the 5 star event in Chile. The Brazilian leads the 2025 overall rankings and the rolling rankings. The Brazilian has his hands on another world title in the wave windsurfing discipline in 2025. But 4 more 5 star events in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Sylt and Maui are still on the 2025 tour schedule. One of the main contenders for the 2025 wave world title is Spaniard Marc Pare Rico, who made it in 2nd place in Chile and in the Maui ProAm. Takara Ishii, one of the rising stars, completed the podium in Maui. He sails well on both tacks and has a lot of control in the air.

French rider Marine Hunter won the ladies pro fleet ahead of Lisa Wermeister from Guadeloupe. Marina already has won a World Cup wave event in Sylt. Lisa scratches for the top and knows quite well how to ride waves with style. Super experienced Maria Andres from Spain ended up in third place and she proved again her skills in the waves. Jane Seman currently leads the women wave ranking and Sarah-Quita Offringa leads the rolling wave rankings
