The IWT calendar for the 2022 Wave Tour

The IWT is proud to announce an expanded calendar for the 2022 Wave Tour. The plan was to run a wave tour at 7 top locations, from Margaret River to Ho’okipa. Honestly the calendar looked too good to be true. Let’s see, if the current situation with the global pandemic will allow the tour management and the local organizers to run the events. And let’s see if it will be possible to travel to the selected spots without restrictions.
The first event in WA was cancelled due to a poor forecast and will be run in 2023 again. The second event in Japan already has changed dates and has been reduced from a 3 STAR to a 2 STAR event.
The third event in Chile in early April has been moved to late September and got cancelled in August. Instead the Chil organizers will run events for local riders in October 2022 and in January 2023.This will help local and regional riders prepare and hone their skills to lead into the big Wave Tour (WT-3 Star) event for Chile in March 2023.
The 2022 Cloud Break event in Fiji in July has been cancelled. All other events stay as announced by the IWT directors Simeon Glasson and Russ Faurot.
