Finally on the 4 of the The Pistol River Wave Bash 2018 the wind picked up and allowed the competition to kick off. The pros delivered excellent performances including landed Goiters, Airs and carving wave rides. Sarah Hauser won the ladies competition. The organizers extended the contest winner for a chance to finish the men’s elimination, too. On the day after the official contest period, suitable starboard tack conditions arrived and allowed the completion of the men’s elimination, too. It was Moroccan Boujmaa Guilloul, who convinced the judges most and won the men’s final ahead of Antoine Martin from Martinique and American Nathan Mershan. Boujmaa obviously felt home in Pistol River as the conditions looked a  it similar to his home spots during the final. Congrats to all winners and it’s great to see the IWT managed to get a result in all categories despite a not ideal wind and wave forecast!
