Phil Soltysiak spent a few days at the Gorge recently and sent us this clip with great action on the windy river. “I wanted to send you this video about the Sailworks Hucker.  I think it’s a pretty cool clip of pure fun windsurfing, jumping and riding waves on the river.” (Phil Soltysiak)
Dale Cook has fun with the Hucker, a sail which is developed for the conditions at the Gorge. Looks really stable and fast and helps to get big airtime. Quite interesting concept. In a way a bit oldschool, but really cool. Watch highwind action with big jumps, nice jibes and more. Aggressive freeriding.
Floaty Jumps are way last year. Where are the nose first landings?!
Ok, it’s an epic video and it encourages me to continue my windsurfing with big sails. Last time I was surfing at the lake ammer (Bavaria) and I used my 6.9 Freeride sail (Gun 2012) and my 105 l Freestyle Board. The stady wind was 6 Beaufort gusts up to 35 knots. I had full power and was much faster than all the other surfers with 5.3 to 4.7 sails and jumped very high including backis. Ok, freestyle is not easy with that stuff, but the feeling of maximum speed and full power was so amazing, that I did not… Read more »
Oh is sooo right! It would be absolutely epic! Remember the days of in and out slalom in the 80’s? Come on, there are plenty of ways to make slalom even more spectacular than racing in 8 knot winds
perfect ground for pwa slalom worldcup. 40 knots, massiv chop. 😀
This video made me realise how much I miss power from today’s windsurfing. For some reason it’s a lot more impressive than freestyle, at least in my eyes. And I don’t want to sound biased or old school. Very nice video!
