The Choppy Water GmbH and the German Windsurfing Association (DWSV) present the tourplan for the German Windsurfing Cup (DWC) 2010/11. 4 events are planned and German titles can be won in the disciplines Racing, Slalom, Wave and Freestyle.

The tour 2010/2011 already started in 2010, last August, with the event at the Schönberger beach.
The first event in 2011 will happen in May from the 28th till 30th at Fehmarn. The best German riders will meet at the Wulfener Hals (Camping- und Freizeitpark Wulfener Hals) and fight in the disciplines Racing and Slalom.
The second tourstop will be held on Bernd Flessner´s island, at Norderney while Whitsun. The White Sands Festival will be started on the 10th of June and end on the 13th of June 2011. This event takes place over many years and is super popular. Competitions in the disciplines Racing, Slalom and Wave will be held. You can expect spectacular action on and off water. Nice parties are on the eventplan, too.

From the 1st till the 3rd of July event number 3 will take place at the coastal resort Boltenhagen, located at the Baltic sea. Since two years events are held at this spot and most of the competitors like this location at the white Wiek, where competitions in the disciplines Racing and Slalom are announced.

At the end of July the absolute highlight of the season will be on: from the 27th till the 31st of July the FLENS SURF CUP presentet by Volvo takes place at the Worldcup approved beach of Westerland, Sylt. We will see all four disciplines, Racing, Slalom, Wave and Freestyle there. That´s the big final of the entire tour and the champions will be crowned! Besides windsurfing you can expect a well organised party programm with nice beats in the Beachclub and popular after Race parties directly at the beach.
From August 2011 on the new tour will be started. Dates and locations for the 2011/2012 season will be announced later.

Just got the the news, that there will be at least 3 standby Freestyle events in 2011 and the final will happen on Westerland as the 4th event. On the weekend will be a meeting and we will update you soon about news. The freestyle discipline should be integrated as an independent discipline and presented through the German Freestyle Battles.
Is is interesting, that there are not more freestyle events, if you read the article from August 2010: The organizers of the “German Freestyle Battles” and the Choppy Water GmbH as organizer and marketer of the official German Windsurf Cup (DWC) announced their cooperation for future events. The German Freestyle Battle events get now an official DWC status and points for the Championship ranking. what´s sad out of your view? The fact, that there are no freestyle events? Would bet it´s great to see a Freestyle competition at Fehmarn for instance.
