The Czech freestylers Johny Varik, Kozzy Sladek, Mathew Trojan and Vojta Trojan, who study at the technical university in Prague produced a very nice freestyle clip from a  windsurfing session on the big river of Vltava, which crosses the capital of Prague on a length of 30 km. There were about 15 knots and an air temperature of 8° C.

We already know this kind of spots from the Danube in Vienna. This vid is another proof, that you don´t need the worldbest conditions to get good in the sport of freestyle windsurfing. Respect boys! The video is very well edited by Vojta Trojan and the city of Prague with the Gothic and Baroque buildings forms an incredible nice scenery.

“In general the conditions are really difficult for training freestyle in the Czech lakes and ponds, but  its just fun for us and we try a little bit to make the sport more popular in the Czech Republic”, Vojta Trojan comments.

Several sailors from the Czech Republic are really well known in the international windsurfing scene like Tom Malina, who competes on the PWA Slalom tour or young freestyler Dominik Kovarik, who competes on EFPT or PWA. Besides the Freestyle discipline Formula, Slalom and Raceboard windsurfer are really popular in this part of Europe and run several races over the season. Big players are Karel Lovicky, Patrik Hrdina, Jan Skrepek or Jakub Slivo.
