Ceri Williams just announced that Puerto Rico will host the Formula windsurfing Worlds 2011
The 2011 World Championship will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico from the 4th to 9th July with the registration on the fourth.The whole event will be held at the Ultimo Trolley/Ocean Park beaches in San Juan city, just 10 minutes from the airport. San Juan is located in the eastern region at the north coast of Puerto Rico. The island is very well known for its excellent wavesailing and surfing conditions, but San Juan offers great conditions for the Formula racing event. Due to the fact teh event is located in a city, many spectators are to expect. For the first time in the history of the class these championships will take place in the North American/Caribbean region – and what better place than Puerto Rico! Along with Wilhelm we are expecting the powerful Formula Windsurfing Brazilian Armada to attend the World Championships!”
